主讲人介绍：

      达里奥•郎世宁（Dario Castiglione），在英国埃克塞特大学(Exeter University）教授政治理论，主要研究兴趣是民主理论、公民社会、宪政理论和政治思想史。在美国、德国、意大利和中国的一些国际机构担任客座职务，曾于2009至2015年间担任过欧洲政治研究联合会（ECPR）出版社的编辑，并指导多个由欧共体（EC）和英国经济与社会研究委员会（ESRC）资助的欧洲范围内的研究项目。在关于政治学理论及早期现代政治思想史方面的期刊中发表多篇论文，并著有《欧盟宪政政治》、《社会资本指南》、《欧洲和多元社会的语言问题》、《欧洲公民的塑造》、《国家语境下的政治思想史》。

内容摘要：

      Political Theory, as a subject taught in Government and Political Science Departments in many Anglo-American and European institutions, is a combination of a study of the history of political thought and a more philosophical exploration of issues of political, social, and ethical nature. It is an area of research comprising many approaches, often concentrating on different topics. Such approaches sometime speak to each other, but often develop along isolated or even conflicting paths. This talk will try to map a number of important trends in the way in which Political Theory, in both its historical and more philosophical branches, has developed in the course of the last 50 years.
